TIA

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is a leading U.S. non-profit trade association serving the communications and information technology industry, with proven strengths in market development, trade shows, domestic and international advocacy, standards development and enabling e-business. TIA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop voluntary industry standards for a wide variety of telecommunications products. KTRC is an active participant in the development of standards in TIA's Wireless Communications Division.

ATIS

The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) is a U.S. based body committed to rapidly developing and promoting technical and operations standards for the communications and related information technologies industry worldwide using a pragmatic, flexible and open approach. KTRC participates in the Wireless Technologies and Systems Committee (WTSC), formerly T1P1, and incubator programs.

3GPP2

The Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) was formed in response to the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) International Mobile Telecommunications "IMT-2000" initiative. 3GPP2 is a collaborative third generation (3G) telecommunications specifications-setting project comprised of North American and Asian standards development organizations, ARIB, CCSA, TIA, TTA, TTC. KTRC actively participates in the development of cdma2000 and 1xEV-DO specifications.

IEEE

IEEE 802 develops Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) standards. Within the IEEE 802 committee, KTRC participates in two working groups, IEEE 802.16 and IEEE 802.20. The IEEE 802.16 Working Group on Broadband Wireless Access Standards develops standards and recommended practices to support the development and deployment of broadband Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks. The IEEE 802.20 Working Group is to develop the specification for an efficient packet based air interface optimized for the transport of IP based services to enable worldwide deployment of affordable, ubiquitous, always-on and interoperable multi-vendor mobile broadband wireless access networks that meet the needs of business and residential end user markets.

CDG

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) is an international consortium of companies who have joined together to lead the adoption and evolution of 3G CDMA wireless systems around the world. The CDG is comprised of CDMA service providers and manufacturers, application developers and content providers. By working together, the members help to ensure interoperability among systems, while expediting the availability of 3G CDMA technology to consumers. KTRC plays a role in CDG working groups and the Steering Committee.
