About KTRC



OUR COMPANY


With an eye to the future, Kyocera Wireless formed Kyocera Telecommunications Research Corporation (KTRC) in February 2004. KTRC combines the advanced technology group of Kyocera Wireless Corp. with top engineers from Kyocera Corporation's other wireless divisions to form a North American center for wireless innovation and design. While we don't know what tomorrow's "killer application" in wireless will be, we're confident Kyocera will emerge with the industry-leading devices to support it.

There are three main groups that comprise the KTRC team:

  • San Diego, CA: Focus on wireless handset technologies
  • San Jose, CA: Focus on network and wireless infrastructure
  • Bangalore, India: Focus on handset software

OUR MISSION

  • Do early development on rapidly evolving technologies in wireless communications, and translate these into profitable products as quickly as possible
  • Establish synergies between the different core technology teams throughout Kyocera
  • Generate a strong portfolio of intellectual property
